FOUNDER / OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Jen is a native of Knoxville, TN but relocated to Georgia in her teens. In 2001, Jen graduated from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA with a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She began her career in pediatrics and has practiced in a variety of settings with patients of all ages over the last 22 years. In 2008, Jen graduated from King University in Bristol, TN with a Masters in Business Administration with a specialty in Healthcare Management. This is where the dream of owning her own clinic began. During this time, Jen was working for Mountain States Health Alliance in Johnson City, TN where she coordinated OT services for 15 hospitals in East TN and Southwest VA as well as managed/supervised multi-disciplinary teams of therapy professionals within a 450 bed trauma hospital. In 2010, Jen relocated to Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN treating adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting for the next 10 years with a specialized focus on orthopedic upper extremity/hand rehab, lymphedema, and wound care. Jen completed training to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in late 2019 furthering her certification in 2020 becoming LANA certified. She has also completed extensive training in wound care for swelling and vascular disorders. Jen is excited to be living her dream of opening an Occupational Therapy practice in rural Madisonville, TN. Jen lives nearby with her amazing husband, Chris; 2 adult step-children Caitlyn and Drew; and 3 fur kids (dogs). When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends exploring the mountains and traveling to new places.

ASSISTANT / OFFICE MANAGER

Missy is a native of Tazewell, TN but relocated to Madisonville, TN to marry Dave, the love of her life 18 years ago. Missy began her career in the banking industry after attending Walter’s State Community College for Principles of Banking in 2001. She then spent the next 15 years in the banking industry in various roles beginning with Bank Teller, promoting up to Mortgage Loan Processing, Credit Assistant, and Title / Insurance Processing. In 2016, Missy left banking for the healthcare industry. For five years, Missy managed and operated an outpatient multi-disciplinary therapy clinic for Blount Memorial Hospital in Vonore, TN. In this role, she was responsible for the workings of the front office; scheduling patients; managing her support team; billing insurance/patients; and ensuring the therapy clinic as a whole ran smoothly and efficiently. In 2019, Missy attended the Management and Strategy Institute to complete specific certifications in HIPPA, IT Ethics, Team Supervisor, Business Office Manager, Medical Office Administration, and Lean Six Sigma White Belt. Missy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice and is excited to embark on a new adventure in a private practice setting closer to home. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 19-year-old daughter, Ivey, working their cattle and horse farm, watching Ivey Barrell race, and participating in local wagon trains.
